MSOE
IntroductionMSOE is not your typical college. If you want a school that you can coast through and just party, this is not the place for you. I came to MSOE because of its reputation for being a great engineering school. I was interested in the Biomedical Engineering program, so far its going great.
Campus Life and Social LifeWhen I came to MSOE I was slightly concerned in the sports/clubs aspect because I played football all through highschool. I knew coming here would mean no more football, but that was fine. I realized that MSOE has a lot of clubs and sports to if you really want. Shortly after arriving here I met some guys on the Ultimate Frisbee team, and joined the group almost immediately.
AcademicsThe workload at MSOE can get a little overwhelming sometimes, but its usually not too bad. If you are struggling in any of your classes the almost all the professors here are great about helping out. The only things that you have to be careful of is with some of the later physics classes.
Student BodyThere are not lots of parties, but thats fine with me. If I ever really feel the urge to go do something crazy UW-M and Marquette are both close enough where you can party over there. Like I mentioned before there's lots of sports and clubs to get involved with, you just have to look. If there is a club thats not out there, and you want it to be, start it.
In Closing...The biggest thing about this school is that you should only come if you're really serious about going into engineering, and you ar willing to put in the timw and work. I've only been here for a year, and I've had a blast. Another thing that a lot of people say sucks about MSOE is the lack of girls. I personally think its dumb to hate this school for that reason. I dont think its as bad as most people make it sound,I mean half my friends ar girls.
