The Real MSOE

Introduction
If you are coming to college for a good time and to party, do not come to MSOE, however, if you want a quality education and don't mind long hours of studing then MSOE is the school for you.

Campus Life and Social Life
The week is filled with hours of homework, while the weekends are filled with hours of drinking it all away. MSOE offers lots of clubs, activities, and sports for students to participate in. If you live in the dorms, partying might be hard, but Marquette and UWM are not far away: that's where the girls are. Students are generally put into two categories: athletes and non-athletes. The athletes usually have the parties, while the non-athletes usually attend. Engineers look down on the other programs offered, but the other programs besides nursing enjoy life more.

MSOE is great about giving the students kickbacks for going to MSOE, these include lots of free food, discounted or free tickets to big events, as well as hosting events on campus.

The dorms suck but you have to live in them for a year. It's supposed to be two, but their are ways around anything... Advertisement
Academics
Lots and lots of studying is required to do well at this school. Procrastinate for a week and you're left behind. Small class sizes allow for close relationships with professors and other students, the school offers several programs that students can come to and get help if needed.

To survive as an engineer you have to be good at math and able to work on homework for hours on end. If you can't make it as an engineer MSOE has a great business program available

MSOE is also very good about giving out money for school.

Student Body
Lots of exchange students and others mostly from the Wisconsin tri-state area.

Mostly Guys: three types, 1) Jocks who play sports, 2) Nerds that spend their weekends glued to the computer screen, and 3) The ones that fall in between, they stay in shape but dont mind the ocasional computer game.

Some Girls on campus: two types, 1) The ones that are pretty enough to have a swarm of guys follow them wherever they go, and 2) Those who aren't and still have swarms of guys following them as long as they're not shy. Girls usually have a princess complex of superiority over the guys due to all the male attention which causes their heads to become inflated.

Not to worry though, if you are confident in who you are, you will become a big fish in a small pond really quick.

In Closing...
It's a very unique college expierience that can be found no where else. Small class sizes lead to close student - professor relationships. Studying is mandatory, but we students also know how to have fun.
