Eugene Lang College

Introduction
I made the mistake of choosing a school only based on location- please do not do this. I wanted to be in New York City so I went to Eugene Lang without really looking into it. If you aren't crazy about writing, this is not the place for you. I would say that the majority of the students are here for creative writing and the school caters to this major the most.

Campus Life and Social Life
I chose to live off-campus and it has been extremely difficult to fit into the social scene. New York always has something going on, so it is hard to get bored but very easy to become broke. If you're into sports, this is not the place for you either. Advertisement
Academics
The writing program is the only department worth coming to this school for. If you want to concentrate on math run far, far away! Most of the professors are super nice and super down to earth, but there are always some duds. I don't think they do enough teaching most of the time. It seems like they present an opening discussion, then let the students have a go at the topic for an hour and a half.

Student Body
The token weird/eccentric/unique/indie kid from your high school.

In Closing...
I personally don't think it's worth the money. I have not enjoyed myself here and will be transferring in the fall.
