Northeastern Has it all
IntroductionI choose NU because of its beautiful campus in the heart of Boston. If you want a school that is challenging, has a good reputation, has lots to offer in the city, and has thousands of clubs to get involved in, then Northeastern is for you.
Campus Life and Social LifeThe best part of social life is if you are apart of Greek Life, I am and I love it. We're only 10% of the student body, and you might not hear about our parties, but believe me, they're there and they are insane.
Sports is okay at NU. We're DI, but unless you go to watch hockey, the other sports are really recognized as much.
There are thousands of clubs at NU, which is great, and if something isnt available, then you can create your own.
Weekends are filled with brunch in the caf, shopping at the Pru and Newbury St, maybe playing a lil football, at night going to parties, bars, and nightclubs.
AcademicsNU has an amazing Engineering School and Business School. Bouve is also a huge school for any type of Health Science. NU also has a college of Arts and Sciences and Criminal Justice. Any major in health science is an amazing education, but is probably the toughest and hardest workload. All the professors at NU are very experienced in their fields, they can all be tough, but are usually very understanding as well.
Student BodyTypical Guy at NU: Preppy, concerned about his looks, involved
Typical Girl at NU: Designer Clothing, pretty, trendy, involved
Most students are from the northeast, specifically Mass, NJ, NY, and Conn. We also have a large population from California, Florida, and the Chicago,IL area.
Usually most students here are into traveling around Boston, listening to their iPods, going to lots of restaurants, hating Boston University, going to concerts, bar-hopping, and are very serious about schoolwork and co-op.
In Closing...I love Northeasten and cannot imagine myself anywhere else. The one important thing to remember about this school is that it has an amazing reputation, and it is getting better and better every year. Each semester it is inching its way up the ranks more and more. I would stay NU is just as good, if not better than GWU, NYU, and BU.
