Bombay Dream
IntroductionI come from a really standard Indian family so my parents are all about going to a good school with a good medicine program and stuff. I came to NWU as an engineer originally and I really liked the campus when I saw it and I decided that this would be the place for me out of all the colleges that accepted me.
Campus Life and Social LifeNWU has a lot of groups that you can be a part of. I’m currently actually on the chair of the South Asian Student Alliance.
There’s hundreds of a cappella groups here. Anything ranging from like straight up ethnic a cappella groups to straight up just like theatre a cappella groups to grad student a cappella groups. It’s huge on campus.

AcademicsWe’re on the Quarter system at NWU so when it comes to studying and partying, it’s really hard to manage your time right. So actually, coming to NWU, the biggest thing you’ll learn is time management.
You have midterms that start every 4th week, 3rd week of classes. And so partying is really hard to do, but if you really want to do it, then what you got to do is just get your work done. We work hard and then we play hard.
Pre-Med is a big major here and a lot of people want to come here for that reason.
Kellogg is the #1 ranked school of business in the country and it’s right on our campus. There are a lot of older Kellogg students that come here after working two or three years out in the real world and they’re all really nice when you sit and talk to them. I know a couple of them personally. I hear it’s also a really great facility.
Student BodyEverybody here was probably either valedictorian or top 10% of their class just because it’s a really difficult, competitive school to get into.
There’s so much diversity. Everywhere you walk on campus, when I go home to Ohio, it’s like I don’t see any diversity. I see all these people who are straight from rednecks and I’m like, “uuuuh, I don’t know what to do.”
In Closing...One thing I really love to do and I don’t know why, I just started the passion at NWU after all the groups here--I’m a huge dancer. I love dancing any style Hip Hop, Jazz, Latin... and I’m an Indian, so I’m all about the Bollywood! I try some of the classical stuff every now and then.
