STORMY WEATHER
IntroductionAlthough people do come here assuming that it is going to be easy, assuming that they’re not going to have to work hard, because it is a “Party School”, you definitely see a lot more people studying and working for their classes than you do going out and getting wasted every night.
Campus Life and Social LifeThe weather in Ohio isn’t that great. Ohio definitely does not have that great of weather. It’ll go from being 80 degrees one day to being 45 degrees the next day. So, generally in the summer it’s OK, and like in the late spring. I’m probably going to move out of state for graduate school, basically because of the weather.
AcademicsThe class-work is hard, but it’s definitely manageable – it’s not, you know, Harvard or anything.
Student BodyI’m taking a history 111, which is a survey of Western Civ – there are 450 students in the lecture and we also have recitation 2 days a week where there are 30 students. So, not only can you talk to your TA, you can talk to your professor and you actually do get a lot of individual attention.
In Closing...I actually came to Ohio State for all of the opportunities. I’m not a really big football fan. I like football. I like that we beat Michigan and that worked for me.
