A more realistic review
IntroductionYour are often going to hear that the best thing about Pomona is the people. Please actually come and meet the people before you come here. If you don't like them, you cannot easily avoid them. I chose it because of its academic standing. All Republicans or people who don't care about the environment shouldn't apply. I'm a liberal and even I get fed up with the liberal bias here. We have stereotypes for Pomona and the four other colleges nearby. We say our stereotype is a brillant, well rounded, just all around great person. The other schools say we are stuck up.
Campus Life and Social LifeUnless you have found a group of friends that don't like to drink, you must drink to have fun. The school throws dance parties and sometimes there are parties in the dorms but the R.A's will bust them. If you like big sporting events with lots of school spirit, don't come.

AcademicsProffesors are generally very helpful outside of class, and they would really like to work with you. And they will notice if you do not attend class, for the most part. You can find easy classes but you can also find unneccesarily hard classes. Most students came here with a good working attitude, anyway.
Student BodyAt some point, you will realize that parties here are not that great. At that point in your life you will turn to alchohol. If you are in a club or sport, only you and the other people involved will care about that club or sport. Bring a car! This is a small campus, and you will eventually get tired of looking at it.
In Closing...Our version of school spirit is bragging about our academic status while looking down on neighboring schools. I have been giving Pomona a hard time but there are statistics that say 92% of the students are very happy. However, if you are in the other 8%, you will be surronded by a bunch of happy people that love to talk about how amazing the school is. Also, they try to balance out the small school part by pointing out that there are four other colleges nearby. It doesn't matter, the school still feels small.
