Not a Lot Going ON

Rating: 4/5 (48 ratings)
Introduction
If you want to go to a school that is academically challenging and rewarding do to Regent. If you want to go to a school that have a lot going on such as parties and Greek life chose another school. If you are not a Christian Regent is not for you. If you are looking for a school that will give undergraduates fellowship, assitantship, or internship do not go to Regent. It is hard to get any of them at Regent. It is not a diverse school, it is mostly Caucasian, although they are trying to shift a new paradigm by encouraging minorities to apply.

Campus Life and Social Life
There is only one Greek organization and any student can join. Regent has a state-of-the-art theater that has a lot of shows for the students. They also have a lot of famous guess speakers to come out and speak during their leadership forum.

Academics
I am a Organizational Leadership & Management undergraduate-senior status. The Professors and TAs are great. They care about each one of their students. It is a very personal base at Regent. The professors and TAs goes the extra mile to help you. Although, the work load is very rigorus the professors and TA in the school of Undergraduate department will help you the entire time. The academic advisory department for the school of undergraduate is also excellent, but be sure to make copies of everything in the financial aid aspect, because they will loose your papers.

Student Body
The weekends are geared to working or studying. The only party you are going to get at Regent is a Christmas party (LOL). People are friendly for the most part, some are a little snobby and racist. They are trying to become more of a diverse university, but is experiencing the "growing pains" that come with such drastic change. Regent does have a lot of organizations, most are Christian-based due to Regent is a private Christian university founded by Evangelist Pat Robinson.

In Closing...
If you are a Christian and want a small and not a lot going on within a University than Regent would be the right fit for you. If you are not going to take college serious, do not like a lot of work, and want to party look for another school.
