I love school!

Rating: 1/5 (34 ratings)
Introduction
Be prepared to spend a lot of time on buses, which you should be good at already since you are in high school. Rutgers was close to home and I thought it would be fun. You need to be very open-minded and diversified to attend this school.

Campus Life and Social Life
There's always a lot to do here between parties and bars. There is intramural sports for just about everyone. Weekends are fun...especially if you have Saturday class or Sunday exams!!!
Academics
By far the most effective thing at Rutgers is the teaching of the professors. The classes are difficult but you can learn a lot. Life Sciences, Chemistry, etc. are all very good and difficult classes but you can come out learning quite a bit of information if you can keep up. TA's are huge and for the most part knowledgeable. They are pretty much the only teachers that you talk to unless you sit in the front row.

Student Body
There is no such thing as a typical student at Rutgers, it is very diverse.

In Closing...
Most of the dean and academic counseling is useless. Parking is ridiculous. I pay $450 to park in a deck that is overbooked just to get towed because there was nowhere to park. You can finish 5000 credits at another school if you exchange the time spent waiting and on buses for class time. Really the only thing good about Rutgers is class...and maybe nightlife.
