RU RAH RAH

Introduction
a lot of high schoolers from NJ dont look on it so highly because its "just the state school." I was one of those people, then got here, and realized that everyone around me is really smart (top 5 percent of their class, etc) and i am not even living in honors dorms. SO many smart people, yet everyone has a good time. there are parties, there are study groups, there is sports, rutgers has everything.

Campus Life and Social Life
People do not go home on weekends. there is always something. There are parties always, clubs always, sports always, academic groups always. You just have to go find what you want. The worst part is traveling. You have to take busses to go between the campuses. You might find yourself on a bus 3-4 times a day, where each ride can range from 15-45 minutes depending on traffic. Its really not that bad. We dont mind it all that much, and it gives it more of a city feel. I would hate just living on on small area of land and have everything right there. Its nice to get out, but of course, some days (especially days with bad weather) it gets annoying.
Academics
Rutgers is a lot harder than I thought. Its not one of those schools where an average on a test is a B, an average will be a C or lower. Professors care if you care. They dont make it easy. If you want to get good grades you have to work, find the professor, go to tutoring, and work hard.

In Closing...
I love Rutgers, its the BEST place for me-and I am saying that after i originally had it as my last choice)
