Rutgers Review
IntroductionI chose rutgers because its a good school with a good reputation and a fairly high rate of job finding success upon graduaction. It is also relatively inexpensive compared to schools of the same caliber.
Campus Life and Social LifeAs large as rutgers is, any interest one has can definitelly be fulfilled. The social life is definitelly there and anyone that wants to party will have no trouble doing so. With the combination of greek life and off campus housing, a party can be found on pretty much any night if you have the social capabilities of making friends and connections. There are many sports leagues and clubs for pretty much any interest except maybe curling, but thats for silly canadians anyway.
AcademicsThe rutgers business school is getting a good reputation and for good reasons. It is not a breeze but provides good fundamentals for your future. The psychology department is quite well known, and mason grose school or arts is also a very good school.
Student BodyThere is no typical student with 35 thousand kids. You'll find anyone and everyone. Most are in state although I know many students from all over the country as well as international.
In Closing...The large size of the school has its ups and downs. The beurocracy of it all can make things impersonal and sometimes frustrating but overall is not a big deal. Within a few years the school feels much smaller as cstudent with similar concentrations take many of the same classes which also decrease in size. The size of the school also allowed for the plethra of clubs and programs that are available.
