Tales from the SHUbox

Rating: 4.8/5 (67 ratings)
Introduction
I like the location. I was from Long Island, so it was pretty close, just take the ferry over. The campus was really nice and new. Laptops were included and I really liked the dorms-they even have housekeeping. After the tour, the kids that I saw were all pretty similar to me. If you want a really big school, SHU probably isn't the best place for you.

Campus Life and Social Life
Weekends are awesome, I would say like 80% of the people are here. There is always a basketball, football, or hockey game. Everyone tailgates and goes to the games. There are a ton of other clubs too, I'm a sports guy so I normally stick to that. Community service is pretty big, so most of us do something with that too. Parties are pretty good. We are pretty much a party school until everyone turns 21 then we all go to bars.

Academics
College of business, PT, Nursing, and Education are probably the most popular majors. I love the business program and the professors are great. Dr. Shuart and Dr. Maresco are my favorite. PT is a ton of work. Most of my friends in that program are studying like 6 days a week. I like that most of the classes are conversation style rather then lecture.

Student Body
Like I said before, weekends are awesome.
