Loooove it

Rating: 3/5 (61 ratings)
Introduction
I loved this school...the size was great, definitely a feeling of community without being too too small. There are a lot of different people here from artists to athletes.

Campus Life and Social Life
People here can definitely party and the bars of Saratoga are great. There are a lot of different clubs to join and many athletic teams as well. However support of athletics from the student body can be lacking for certain sports. However, in my 4 years I definitely experienced an effort on behalf of administration and student athletes to help this situation.

Academics
The class sizes are great and foster an excellent opportunity for meaningful discussions. I really enjoyed the American Studies and Sociology Depts. Professors get to know students individually and take an interest in them outside of class.

Student Body
Typically upper/middle class liberal white kids from the Northeast. I would say accepting of everyone though. Large variety of interests.

In Closing...
I would recommend this school to anyone, I had a great time here. Also the campus and town are absolutely beautiful. I think a lot of people are surprised that Skidmore has an excellent business dept. and this is actually the most popular major because of our reputation as an art school. Also there are some excellent athletic teams and coaches and a lot of money is being put into new athletic facilities and staff, so the athletic program is making big strides.
