Small, Tight School
IntroductionIf you are considering this school, you must understand that it's a small private school that does cost some money. But it is the best money that I (my parents) ever spent. I chose this school because it was close to Austin but yet still small and private. If you are into big schools and partying all of the time, this school is not for you.
Campus Life and Social LifeI would say that the Sororities/Frats here have the best social life. They are the groups that you see the most on campus. However, many of our minority clubs try to make themselves known and do a pretty good job. The weekends are usually pretty dead. Many students either go to Austin or go home for the weekend.

AcademicsThe academics here are great. You have small classes (maybe 20 people at the most) and the professors make time for you if you need it. I was a Political Science major with secondary certification so I can say that the Political Science and Education Departments are awesome. The workload can be heavy at times, but usually you are given a timeline so you know when things are due. You are able to manage your time efficiently.
Student BodyThere is no "typical" student. Usually you will find the group that best suits you, whether conservative, liberal, partiers, etc. Most of the students are from Texas, but there are a few from Oregon. Most of the students are into their own personal groups (whether social or school-related) but you rarely feel left out even if you don't belong to a certain group. Most students are very inviting.
In Closing...Choosing this school was the best decision that I ever made. I only wish that it had a graduate program because I would have attended it in a heartbeat. The professors were great, I made great/lifelong friends, and I enjoyed living at the dorms. The campus is also the most beautiful campus you will ever see!
