Alright.
IntroductionPurchase College isn't the school for you if you're looking for a big time fraternity scene but don't be turned off by initial remarks about the schools academics and bleak looking campus. The schools academics are just fine compared to other SUNY schools when you get down to it and the campus has it's own charm, just like everything else about the school. Take the time to get to know it before you judge it.
Campus Life and Social LifeThe Purchase College campus is small. Greek life is nonexistent on campus. Every night is a party night. Intramural sports go down all the time but Purchase is not a big sports school. New York city is a ten minute shuttle ride and twenty minute commuter train ride away. You can find something to do.

AcademicsThe school is known for its conservatory program and not so much for it's liberal arts programs. I majored in History and would give the school a positive review for their department. The courses offered, professors, and material presented were adequate and definitely better than the school I transferred from. Purchase might not be the top academic SUNY school but it's far from the worst.
Student BodyA mix of everything. A little bit more homosexual, alternative, punk and less fraternity driven than other schools.
