Tech!

Rating: 1/5 (92 ratings)
Introduction
I chose Texas Tech because of the west Texas atmosphere. It's a great school. Everyone is nice, and there is always something to do. If you ever thought about becoming an Aggie do not come here, because Tech is the complete opposite of A&M

Campus Life and Social Life
The sports games are always fun, and they are a must if you are a student. The parties never end, and there will never be a weekend without a party. The clubs are pretty decent for a city the size of Lubbock. Weekends are non-stop fun usually

Academics
Professors seem to be pretty competent, same with TA's. The workload just depends on the classes you are taking. Some semesters will be a breeze, others might seem like all you do is studying. I'm not too knowledgeable on the departments yet, but I know the mass communications department is pretty decent. Tech has a very good agriculture dept, theatre, and engineering.

Student Body
The parties are awesome usually. Sports games, in particular, football games can get a little rowdy. Students seem to get a little too into their team, and it isn't uncommon to hear profanity towards other teams being yelled out. Even broken bleachers are not uncommon, but that is what makes the games so much fun.

In Closing...
Texas Tech is a great school especially if you are just wanting to get away from the city, or to just try something different. West Texas is completely different than anywhere that I have ever lived, and I love it.
