Learn a Lot, Party a Lot

Rating: 1/5 (43 ratings)
Introduction
Tulane is a great school. Classes are interesting and not too tough and there's always something to do around campus or at the bars, which are practically on campus.

Campus Life and Social Life
As for social scene, nightly drink specials at the above-mentioned bars dictate where the crowds will be. We also have huge frat parties that are never lacking for drinks.

Academics
The academics are very personalized: none of my classes even use TAs, and my professors all know my name. The times I've sat in class with a confused expression on my face, my professor will ask me if I have a question. The work isn't easy, but there isn't too much. At least, it doesn't seem to interfere with most people's social lives.

Student Body
The people at Tulane are usually friendly but they're very homogenous: a lot of the stereotypical Frat Boys with pink shirts and Sorority Girls with designer rain-boots. That said, there are also a lot of pretty cool people and weird honors kids. Most kids are from the Northeast (it seems like everyone is from Long Island), a few kids are local, and no matter where people are from it's probably some kind of upper-middle-class upbringing.

In Closing...
Tulane is a great place: when you find your niche it's really just a blast. I spent last semester at another university and it just pales in comparison to Tulane. That's the same thing I've heard from most of my friends. Also, you can't beat the weather.
