Introduction
If you're looking at a small school like Union, make sure you're happy with the student body;Union is both small and pretty homogenous, so if you want to meet a lot of different types of people, Union doesn't have much to offer.

Campus Life and Social Life
Union's social life revolves pretty heavily around Fraternities, but there are other options for meeting people and having a good time. Joining a sports team is a great way to meet people outside your dorm--truly a wise investment. Advertisement
Academics
I can only speak for the Math, Chemistry, and Biology departments. My professors in Math and Chemistry have been really great, but my Biology professors have been so-so. The workload my freshman year was not bad, but it definitely kept me busy.

Student Body
Again, quite preppy. I was told as an incoming freshman, that despite this majority I could find my niche. However, I've met plenty of people I like, but when you don't have anything in common with the majority of the students on campus, your "niche" will not suffice to keep you happy.
