A Night in Mexico?

Introduction
I have never been to Mexico but practically everyone has – I feel kind of awkward like driving down to Mexico and just being there for an evening but a lot of people do go to Mexico on the weekends – especially freshman in the first semester just cause they’re experiencing everything – the night life here is pretty good – there’s always something going on, there’s always a party.

Campus Life and Social Life
A lot of people go to the bars when their 21 and that’s a pretty big scene over there – but I haven’t gone yet cause I’m not 21 yet. I have to gone to a few fraternity parties, especially in the fall because they do their whole Mid Day Night and everything like that but you kind of get sick of it as the year goes on just cause it’s the same scene over and over again but I definitely – it was a fun experience, the first semester. I’ve never been to a Basketball game because I’ve never gotten tickets, but that would be my ultimate dream, but I like going to the football games even though our football team isn’t the best, It’s fun because all the students are able to be together and its just this big section of college kids and that’s the fun part. When we do win it’s a blast though. Academics
My biggest Gen Ed course was 400 students – the Gen Eds are fairly large but the larger the class usually the more TA’s so there is probably 1 to 40 for the TA’s until you get that connection if you need that and the office hours are always available but you know Gen Ed’s are Gen Eds – they’re not that exciting so you like to get them over with.

Student Body
The style here at U of A is very juicy, very expensive, short mini skirts and the juicy skirts and the juicy tops, La Coste and everything like that, its very California style cause a lot of the people from U of A come from California. I think that U of A has lived up to its reputation as far as being a party school – there’s always something going on but I think people kind of exaggerate on that just because were a big party school but yet were also very academic and you come here to get a good education and to get good grades and things like that but I mean there’s always a party going on so you never have to worry about what you’re going to do Friday night.

In Closing...
At night you have to be very careful and you need to walk with a group of people – there have been some problems especially in the past year but as long as you’re careful and you walk with a group and you’re smart about things then you’ll be fine.
