Prepare to do a lot of work in Chem

Rating: 2/5 (1 ratings)
Introduction
I love the campus – I love the Red Brick, I love Old Mean, and the mall. The mall is an excellent place just to chill out, sit down, relax in the sun.

Campus Life and Social Life
Spring Fling is the largest student run carnival is the country I believe and its where each of the individual groups or clubs at the University run a booth where they’ll sell a product or they’ll become Carnies themselves and Hawk games and stuff and its really cool and they earn money while they do it.
Academics
I’ve had some life changing professors definitely – some professors who change the way you think about the world about yourself – the university of Arizona has definitely very high quality professors. Especially in my department – chemical engineering. That’s one thing the University does have a problem with is that a lot of the TA’s are foreign graduate TA’s and so a lot of them do have a problem speaking English so that can be a problem especially in the Science classes – like hard science classes. As a Chemmie, we study quite a bit I probably put in and hour to two hours outside every class for every hour in doing homework assignments. One homework assignment will take me 10 hours to do – so yeah, quite a bit. Chemmies, engineering majors, in general have to do a lot more studying than most of the other majors – I know a lot of the non-engineering majors have a little more fun than we do in college.

Student Body
Students here go hiking. There’s Sabino canyon which is just up the road and it’s a gorgeous place to go hiking. Picacho Peak is a great place to go climbing. There’s just a whole bunch of stuff around here – outdoorsy stuff that I enjoy doing.

In Closing...
It’s hard not to walk down campus and not have your head turn every once in a while or let your eyes wander – I could definitely say that. Especially in spring time.
