not just cows! (UC Davis)

Introduction
Davis has an awesome community and is really friendly. Apparently we're the "beer" school... if you're into that. Despite what people say, we're not just about cows and farming; we have some really cool programs and some fun things to do. If you're big on a really big night life and clubbing and stuff, you may not want to come to Davis. But if you're looking for a place where you can chill with your friends and party wherever you want to or just have a quiet night in... this is the place to be. Oh yeah and right now our sports record against Stanford is 4-1. We're moving up to Big West next year so our sports programs will be ridiculous! At all home games they give away massive amounts of free stuff too!

Campus Life and Social Life
Partying happens everyday but the biggest parties start on Thursday. There's a kind of weak "club" called The Grad where pretty much all the freshman go to and get drunk. Like I said before, if you're into a lot of clubbing and stuff you might want to not come here (unless you have a car and you can get to Sacramento). Davis is place where your friends make your weekends awesome so if you're gonna go home every weekend... you may want to just stay at a junior college for two years. Advertisement
Academics
Our engineering program is pretty awesome because they have their own college. We just got the College of Biological Sciences which we're pretty proud of because I think we're one of three universities in California to have a separate college for biosci. The only "weak" majors here so far are textiles and leadership (that I know of).

Student Body
The "typical" student is laid back and parties. But there's it's so diverse here that it's hard to pin a "typical" student. There are a lot of different kinds of groups and the typical students from there are easier. For example, there's the "frat boy" where pretty much all they do is party and barely go to class. There's a huge selection of fellowships on campus too and it's easy to get plugged in really fast if you're into any kind of religion.

In Closing...
Seriously, Davis isn't just about the cows, it's about community and experiences. Oh, and the food in Davis is the best out of all the UCs so yeah. Trust me ... I've tried the others.
