Introduction
I would say the average UCLA student is obviously pretty intelligent, which is a nice change from high school.People are very involved in campus and very interested and aware of what’s going on in the world.

Campus Life and Social Life
There’s definitely a very, very political portion of campus and very, very apolitical portion of campus. But the people who are involved in politics are very much so. I think it’s definitely the area that you’re in, in terms of how political your professors are.
Academics
I’ve definitely taken my share of general education, crappy professor classes. There are huge lecture halls and they couldn’t care less about their students you know. And we are numbers. Like people say you go into a huge university and become a number. It definitely happens. I’m a third year now and my first two years, I definitely felt like a number at times. You’re sitting in classes of 400 and you know the professor has no idea who you are. You can easily get away with not showing up things like that. As time goes on, you know as you start taking smaller and smaller classes, then you professors definitely get to know you a lot more and take a personal interest in your education.

Student Body
North campus is the English majors, Comm. studies, Poly Sci, things like that are on the North Campus. All of the engineers, the math, the science, the people who are hanging out in the dingy buildings and ok with it. The difference between North Campus and South Campus in the buildings is definitely different. North campus is gorgeous buildings, all these pretty, old brick buildings. And South campus is you know the gray cement slab buildings and no windows and things like that. So there definitely is a difference in the way that the two campuses look.

In Closing...
I think one of the best things about being at UCLA, in terms of finding guys that you know you can have good conversation with then you know they’re intelligent. If you find a good looking guy, you know you can have a decent conversation with him. We also have a lot of athletics, which is really fun because those guys are definitely very good looking.
