Under legendary coach John Wooden, UCLA men's basketball teams won 10 NCAA championships, including a record seven consecutive, in 1964, 1965, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, and 1975, and an 11th was added under then-coach Jim Harrick in 1995. There is a pool in the middle of campus, in a gorgeous Italian building.
Also, please note the awesome concerts everyday in the middle of campus.
In Closing...You have to visit UCLA to truly see if it's for you - you must look at all aspects. And even after you have decided it's truly for you, make your application very strong, as the school gets more applications then anyone in the country.
The academics - sit in on a class. Go to a big lecture hall and just sit in.
