UC Riverside = Chill

Introduction
As the title of this review suggests, UC Riverside is a really chill school with a chill nightlife. I chose it, honestly, because 1) It's far from home (the Bay Area), 2) This school gave me the most money and 3) UCR has both a Health Profession program for my Pharmacy ambitions as well as one of 2 Business Administration programs the UCs offer (the other is at Berkeley).

The student that needs a raaaaaaging club-ish party scene should just go to LA or something. Or go here and drive to L.A. It's not THAT far. I go there, and to Irvine and San Diego all the time. UCR is pretty central to everything. All of the above cities are within an hour's drive.

Campus Life and Social Life
The best part of campus life here is, again, the chill atmosphere. If you like hookah, this is THE place to be. The campus is pretty nice too. Have you SEEN the Business School?!?! Lots of clubs to join as well as sports.....except for football =(

Weekends are ok. Lots of people go home, since this is something of a commuter school. But if you've got a car or a friend with a car, possibilities are endless. Advertisement
Academics
Professors can be mean, but quite flexible if you actually TALK TO THEM. TAs are generally reaaaaaaally chill. But again, TALK TO THEM! The workload is pretty fair, except for some exceptional classes (like the Sciences).

Student Body
The vibe here is: study by day, party by night. Most kids are from SoCal. They're from all different races economic backgrounds and everyone's totally chill with each other. Very welcoming environment.

In Closing...
Really, UCR is an underrated school. I am soo ocomfortable here and I love it. People who complain just have nothing better to do. Peace!
