Great School for my Third Choice
IntroductionI came to UCSD because like everyone else here I didn’t get into UCLA or Berkeley, so it’s kind of like everyone here is a reject.
Campus Life and Social LifeSan Diego you can’t beat the weather. You can’t beat weather like this and the beach is seconds away and the girls here aren’t too bad either. There are a couple of cliffs you can go cliff diving at, so it’s pretty tight. Mexico is about 30 minutes away. I haven’t been there in about 2 years because once you turn 21 you don’t want to go there anymore. It’s so dirty and the shots you don’t even want to know what’s in them. Probably half piss or something like that. Going down to TJ is totally a freshman, sophomore thing, it’s a whole process and it’s really annoying.

AcademicsIt’s kind of intimidating because you’ve got these hot, smart girls. It’s like damn. Sometimes you just want a dumb, hot girl. You can find plenty of those at San Diego State. If you were to go to the library it’s packed all the time. People study constantly. My major is management science, but it’s really just like more a business, its focus more on like microeconomics and whatnot. It’s essentially economics. It’s pretty easy. Our schooled ranked really high in like nearly all the sciences. Higher than UCLA and Berkeley. In terms of my professors in economics I feel like they’re a lot more into research. We had two professors just win Nobel Prizes on their projects and stuff. I don’t know, I feel like the professor student contact is pretty limited. I don’t feel like they’re too personable.
Student BodyI feel like people do study but we also lounge out, like on the grass and chill in price center, but schools primary, yet secondary if that makes sense. Party scenes pretty good. I just had a birthday two days ago and we got so trashed. The parties here are pretty good. The fraternity parties, they don’t, I think they’re kind of lame because they’re always like the same people. But just like regular house parties with friends and whatnot, you know you get to have kegs all the time. It’s a lot of fun.
In Closing...There are 6 colleges here now and most of them are Chief justices. There’s Earl Warren, Thurgood Marshall and Revel, Muir. They basically each have a different focus, like Muir is known for their environment. It’s pretty chill, they have like no GE requirements. Warren. I don’t know they all have these weird philosophies that they don’t really pull onto the students. People pick the college based on what their requirements are. And I picked Warren because they had no language requirements. Because I didn’t want to take Spanish or whatever for 5 years.
