BLUE HENS!!!

Introduction
Delaware, is not too huge like Rutgers, but its not too small either, so its pretty much whatever you want to make out of it. If you want to go to a lot of parties on the weekend you got that option…There’s so many things you can get involved with here too.

Campus is beautiful, girls are beautiful, there’s parties everywhere. It’s a lot of fun. The school actually has a great reputation so you can’t really go wrong with any of that. If you want to you can do sports, you can do clubs, you can do everything else with engineering (my major), its just a little bit harder than like certain other majors.

Campus Life and Social Life
As a freshman there’s a couple of different dorms you can live in. There’s, east campus is really nice. They have actually what they call the beach, which is actually like all sorts of grounds where you can play volleyball, basketball, or football or whatever you want. It’s all like right there.
There’s places to eat all over the place. Most of them are pretty close to classes. Main street’s right here, so there’s always stuff to do.

By the time you get to be a junior/senior, the class sizes are small enough you can pretty much know like most of the class. So I mean that’s great. Advertisement
Academics
I was actually in the towers last year, which is up north campus a little but its pretty much like getting an apartment. I don’t have the experience of living in a little crammed dorm room. I had like a full apartment to myself and like 3 other guys.

The food here, its definitely better than high school, but its not like you’re going out to eat. It’s still cafeteria food. If you don’t like the cafeteria food, there’s a million places on Main Street to eat and there’s like The Scrounge and The Roundhouse. There’s all sort of little restaurants the University has.

Student Body
There’s a couple places on Main Street, you got to know where to go. Thursday there’s a place called The Stone Balloon, which has live music and most drafts are $1. You gotta buy a mug there which is like $10, but every time you go you just bring your mug. You pay your cover to get in and then pay $ per beer.
If you want a one night stand type of deal, that’s not going to be hard to find. But if you’re looking for a girlfriend, more than half my friends have serious relationships. So that’s definitely a possibility too.

Depending on where you get placed, they’re a pretty decent size. They’re not like these huge luxurious dorms, its not like a private school, but they’re not like cramped by any means. So, it’s college.

In Closing...
For every guy it seems like there’s like 3 girls and they’re all gorgeous here….I’ve only been to the state like once or twice and I don’t know why the girls are as beautiful as they are, but they did a good job finding these girls.
Most kids are either from Delaware or New Jersey or New York. There’s not like a whole lot of difference in like the type of kid that goes here.

Parking can actually kind of be a pain, especially if you want to go the gym, people get tickets by the gym, but they’re only like 5 dollars…It just seems like there is usually some shortage of parking.
