Hot girls, tonnes to do, and a great campus
IntroductionPeople love the campus, there’s a lot to do here.
Delaware’s one of the first all-wireless campuses. Pretty much every building on the campus is wireless, so you can just grab your laptop, take it out of your room, run over and do some work. The signals are pretty strong so a lot of people actually go outside a lot of the buildings. Lay out in the sun, hop on their laptop, do some studying, hop out in their bathing suits. Grab a tan, do a little studying, its kind of nice.
The libraries are all wireless, the classrooms, all the common where you can go study in your study lounge. You just pick up your computer and go. You don’t have to worry about staying in your room and your roommate making noise. The most common places for people to study are the library, Morris Library is pretty big. There’s about a billion rooms in the place that you can study.
Campus Life and Social LifeEvery set of dorms has a couple study lounges. You go in the lounge you can chill and talk in there, but there’s also quiet study rooms. I kind of feel like Delaware’s is a school that, when you look at the campus itself is like this all American campus. You’ve got these beautiful Georgian architecture buildings, you’ve got these huge Greek columns and it's pretty to look at.
If you want to do it all, you can do it all, everything’s here for you. There’s 100’s and 100’s of clubs, that includes Greek organizations, intramural sports, different multicultural groups. Pretty much anything you can imagine you can do here.

AcademicsDelaware has millions and millions of dollars in research money that comes through in all facets and its one of your best opportunities to move on in life and get quality work in. During my sophomore year and this upcoming year I have been working in a biomechanics research lab doing research funded by national funds from like the National Institute of Health.
There are a lot of patents that come from both undergrad, grad, and professors here and its just great experience because you met a lot of people, you get experience. I’m having the opportunity to get myself published.
The study abroad here is a huge program. I mean you can go literally anywhere. I have friends who’ve studied in London, Paris, Prague, Antarctica, Alaska, Brazil…anywhere you could possibly think of and name, they probably have a program that goes there. Delaware has the option of winter session, which is a month long, you take a full class, you can go abroad and it’s just like you have one class every day of the week as opposed to like 3 days a week.
Student BodyThe food is always my least favorite thing. It’s dining hall food, its not as bad as a lot of schools, but its still dining hall food. Sometimes you get fed up with it.
It’s a great location because you’re 45 minutes from Baltimore, 45 minute from Philly, just over an hour from DC, so you can kind of like just hop out of here and do whatever you want. Most people walk. There is a bus transportation system which is pretty decent. There’s an express bus that runs about every 8 minutes, it’ll take you just to some like main spots people travel on campus. A majority of people I would say walk, but there are a fair share of people, there’s a lot of people that bike around, skateboarding.
In Closing...The typical student... probably pretty laidback. Most people that come to Delaware are not stuck up. Pretty much if you want to like walk up and say hi to someone and start a conversation. They’re going to be receptive to it.
The girls here are just absolutely beautiful, amazing.
When it comes to the social scene at Delaware, there’s always something to do. There’s almost always a party going on. The big thing for parties, especially until you’re 21 is to go to off campus house parties, whether they’re at apartments or houses and fraternity parties, which there’s plenty of. When you turn 21, there are several bars on Main Street that you can hit up. Stone Balloon, you have live music, you have mug night. You pay $10 for your mug initially, but then you always have your mug and its $1 draft and $3 mixed drinks all night. You can’t really beat that.
What most people don’t realize until they come here is because you’re so close to Philly and Baltimore, you know 40 minutes from each of them. You don’t actually have to drive. There’s almost always a bus trip going at night. You’ve got a ride there and back on a bus, you’ve got probably open bar and you’ve got cover to the club or bar that you’re going to go to. Not only do you get to experience Delaware, but you’ve got 2 major cities right there, you know any weekend you want you can drop 15 or 20 bucks, hop on a bus and there you are.
