The BEST College Experience

Introduction
I wanted a school that was big with all types of people. I also wanted a school with tons of tradition and great sports. If you want a great education from a school with great teams to cheer on year round (2006 National Basketball Champions) then the University of Florida is for you. If you want a quiet and party free atmosphere then UF is not for you!

Campus Life and Social Life
There are tons of different arenas for social life. If you are interested in Greek life (fraternities/sororities) UF has plenty, if you are into different cultures then UF has tons of student associations for Hispanics, African Americans, Asian and many more. The nightlife is great with your classic American bar to clubs that bring the Miami nightlife to Gainesville. During football season, Saturdays are non-stop partying! They have greats arts and theatre in the city as well. Campus life is a lot of fun. Usually freshmen live on campus and the following years you live in one of the million apartment complexes. Academics
The university has many different majors. Depending on what you pick will determine your class size and the quality of the professors. The University of Florida has a wonderful Building Construction program if you are interested in construction. In addition UF has tons of tutor offices for help in any subject. UF has excellent programs in engineering, nursing/medicine and education.

Student Body
There is not typical student at the University of Florida. UF has students from all over the world. About 20% of the student body is Hispanic and 10% African American. I can't think of anything that you would be interested in that UF doesn't have to offer both in classes and extracurricular activities.

In Closing...
This was the best college experience I could have ever imagined. Everything I hope for in a school and more I had at the University of Florida. This is the perfect school for students who want to leave home and be on their own.
