Introduction
Orange and Blue everywhere. You cannot pass by this University during a gameday without noticing how incredible the school spirit is. You eat, live and breathe Gators. We have a saying here that we bleed orange and blue and literally if you cut me, you’ll see orange and blue.

Campus Life and Social Life
You cannot come to UF if you’re not a football fan. You can come here, but you’re not going to have fun. Because it’s insane, you have to be involved, you have to love, it. It’s craziness, everyone is Go-Gators, it’s If you’re not into football, you can still have a good time here. To be honest, when I first got here, I wasn’t into football myself. When I first got here, you couldn’t ask me what plays were in football, what’s important anything like that, but when you get here, it’s not even about the football, it’s about the spirit and dedication to something that you’re a part of. And the fact that you’re a student here, there’s a big amount of pride being a Florida Gator.

Academics
If you’re into journalism, this is the school for you. We have an awesome, awesome, killer journalism school. You’re going to have access to being a producer, you can have access to being an anchor, to being a reporter. We have cameras, you’re going to take TV classes, they’re going to let you go out and film, you’re going to interview people, you’re going to get probably the best experience you could ever get as a Journalism major at this school. Mostly because we have all of the amenities you need to do it. We’ve got $13,000 worth of equipment which they put into your hands and let you go out and use it. It’s pretty laid back first year, just to crack you into school. But after that it’s going to start to get hard and the course load is going to start to get heavier and because of that you’re going to find yourself probably having to study a lot more and being a little more involved.

Student Body
As far as dating is concerned, sororities and frats tend to date each other. If you are not in one, usually the dating scene’s pretty hot, everybody meets out around clubs. Downtown, the Swamp is a big place to meet people. You’re going to find all diff kinds of dating scenes: there’s the gay scene, there’s the bi-lesbian scene, there’s also just the straight scene, which is just like everybody. You have to be outgoing to meet someone, you don’t just walk in and meet someone to date. Usually the dating scene is hot because everybody goes out and everyone thinks they’re hot so they want to meet somebody. There is a large, large, large Miami population up here so you’re going to get that hot to trot kind of people who want to look hot, got to wear the name brands, got to be hot. You’re not going to find any frat guys walking around like they’re bums because they have a little dress code, I believe, because I always see the frat guys in their little nice khakis and their college shirts. Well, according to the books, they say 15% of UF is Greek life. I’d say when you walk around, it feels like the whole school is Greek. I think every school you go to, there’s a drug scene, I mean this is America. The drug scene is pretty much, you’re not going to see it if you’re not a part of it. If you’re a part of the drug scene, you’re going to see the drug scene. If you don’t smoke, you don’t smoke, if you smoke marijuana, you smoke marijuana, if you drink, then you drink, if you don’t drink, you don’t drink. People really don’t base their friendships on how involved you are with that stuff. I’ll say that drinking and smoking and all that stuff is a big part of college anywhere you go.

In Closing...
If you like people, and you want to have a good time and you’re into partying, but at the same time, you know that academics is important to you, I can’t see why you wouldn’t come here. If you’re going to come to a public university, this is the best choice.
