Yes... Gators do bleed Orange and Blue

Introduction
First you need to make sure that you can deal with a school that has way more students than your high school. UF is a big campus and about 45,000 students so your classes will be large. If big school intimidate you then UF is not your college. I chose UF because although it is huge I like the idea of a big school and your classes do get smaller when you get further into your major. UF has an amazing journalism program and that was my initial reason for choosing UF. Plus, if you are a student from Florida you can basically attend UF for free! A great school and cheap sounds like a winner to me!

Campus Life and Social Life
THE BEST:
Going out to midtown is quite the good time. University Avenue is located right near campus and loaded with bars and the hot spot known as THE SWAMP. The swamp is normally the place to be on monday nights and certainly fills to capacity. The social life at UF is definitely huge because the football is huge! Yes all gators bleed orange and blue! So as a result we party hard for our gators. If there has to be a worst part to social life I guess I would say it can be distracting. You definitely wanna make sure you dont let the social life get the best of your education and sometimes it can be hard.
Weekends at UF starts on a Thursday and ends on Saturday! Basically any night can be an out night but Thursdays are big for the club scene and Fridays and Saturdays will keep you busy on University Ave or Downtown at the Clubs. Depending on what you like to do there is always something and at the least there is without fail a house party somewhere in Gville. Advertisement
Academics
Heres the rundown:
The academics are great! Some of your professors aren't going to speak english well but some are going to speak perfect english. Basically its luck of the draw. However if you ask around your major people will give you hints about who not to take, so dont worry. I hear the engineering department has a great reputation. And if your interested in communications or journalism UF has one of the top 5 schools in the country! Workload can be easy or hard depending on your major but usually UF is no walk in the park.

Student Body
Typically UF students are from Florida, although occasionally you will meet people from out of state. It seems as though the entire campus is swarming with Florida kids but you would be surprised that alot of kids come to UF from all over the U.S. Alot of kids are into Greek life but then theres alot of students who are just into doing there own thing. Some students are very "beverly hills" and others are just more "leave it to beaver" haha. Basically UF is made up of many different kinds of people and your bound to find someone whose just like you.

In Closing...
If your looking to have a lot of fun, a school to cheer for and die hard fans to party with.... AND your looking for a great education with (@ a big school with ALOT OF PEOPLE) then UF is the place for you.
