I Feel at Home Here

IntroductionI feel confident saying that this school IS my second home. Students interested should be willing to adapt to a new city and a small campus. They should also be willing to dedicate time to homework and parties. Parties are best attended on weekends and thursday nights. We have this thing out there called "Thirsty Thursdays": you guys get the point. A good chunk of the people I know did not schedule any classes on Fridays so they can enjoy their Thursday nights thoroughly. Students who do not appreciate free tutoring for 1-2-3-hundred level classes should stay away from this school. Students who should stay away from this school are lazy people... this school is challenging, but very fun.
Campus Life and Social LifeParties are definently a plus, especially if you know where to go. There are PLENTY of Clubs that all students attend, you just have to find them, or know people who go to them. Our sports are fun, i think a good 25-50% of our school tailgates at games, so its all good, you can get drunk then go to the game =D. Clubs... I'm not in any so i cant really help you out there. Weekends for me involve staying up all night doing illegal stuff, and hanging out with all of my friends.

AcademicsHomework loads are harder more for people with harder majors. All of my classes that have recitations are taught by TA's however, the lecture itsself is taught by the Proffessor. If there are any engineers out there who like math, this school is for you. We have to take 4 semesters of EAC (engineering analysis core) and then after that, I hear that UL Engineering Speed School is cake. Departments, I hear that music is pretty popular, so is A&S. Professors are generally cool just so long as you treat them respect and dignity.
Student BodyA typical student has a schedule they follow on weekdays and then they party on weekends. Typical students do well as long as they maintain their grades. Students are from southern Indiana (kentuckiana) and then all over KY. Ive met few people from out of state.
In Closing...If you are deciding on colleges, go with a school that you really enjoy, or feel for. Dont decide on things because of what you read on paper, you need to actually experience a day or two at the campus to feel for it.
