Campus Life and Social Life
Rush for a sorority or fraternity, even if you aren't 100 percent sure it is for you. Greek Life at Maryland is really good. It's a great way to meet people and to network, and you will always have something to do and people to live with if you decide to move off campus. Advertisement
Academics
Our Criminology, Engineering, Journalism, and Business schools are among the top in the country. Make sure you check out track sheets for majors, to see what kind of classes you will be taking, before you decide to major in something.

Go up and talk to your TA's the first day of your discussions, it will show you are serious, and they are more likely to cut you slack and take you seriously later on in the semester.

Student Body
The weekdays are generally better for going out. Particulary Wednesday through Friday, so don't give up your part time job on the weekends...they aren't all that hot.

In Closing...
GREAT SPORTS. Tailgates and games are some of the most fun events on campus.
