Diversity reigns
IntroductionThe dating scene is pretty good. There’s a lot of cute girls around here. The frats usually take up a lot of that - you meet a lot of people that way. Religious groups have their own date parties where you can meet someone of your own culture, religion, background. More people than I expected have boyfriends and girlfriends, so its not all random and dirty. The drinking scene is huge. Frat parties are real popular. They don’t have the biggest houses in the world so they usually fill up pretty fast. They get kegs and liquor and everything you could want it’s good.
Campus Life and Social LifeI love the football team, didn’t miss a game last season. Didn’t have such a great season, but its still fun to go to, hang out with all your friends, it’s a good time. Thursday nights college night at the clubs in Baltimore and DC, and I guess 6 buses take you different clubs and a lot of people end up going it’s a fun time. With an ID some bars are more lenient than others, clubs it depend on high class it is, but I guess you can get in pretty much anywhere with an ID. I’ve played intramural soccer, basketball, and football. Pick up games are always happening, you can get a game whenever you want. Basketball games are crazy. You get a sold out game every time, its so much fun, you got everyone in red and screaming their heads off. I lose my voice in like the first week of basketball season. There’s a lot of cool karate clubs. You see people walking around campus with swords and there’s some fencing clubs see em in their little white suits and helmets walking around campus.

AcademicsEveryone here has a core curriculum. You have to do a list of classes from different subjects in order to graduate.Maryland’s a fun place, but there’s not too much around here to do. Guys from NY are like more outgoing. They tend to be the life of the party sometime but its all good.
We have a huge NJ, NY group here. There’s definitely a difference. You’ll have your wealthy kids and your normal kids and for out of state I don’t know who it compares to other schools but it’s a good chunk of money.
Student BodyAs a freshman you’re required to stay in the dorms and most of you, most of us are on north campus. No dorms have air conditioning over here and it does suck during the summer because it gets really hot and you crack your window have a bunch of fans in the room, but its not a problem, you can survive without it. All the dorms on south campus and there’s a lot of those you can get into have air conditioning and then after freshman year you can get out of these dorms.
In Closing...It’s a huge campus so to get to all your classes it’s a long walk, pretty tired in the morning and hung over.
