Academics
Basically if you're a serious student don't go here. There is no academic rigour whatsoever. In other words it is poor preparation for a graduate or professional education. Don't forget about when they call off school for a fake crime, or just for the hell of it. they don't do this a community college seriously. I learned almost nothing from umass. Think hey maybe i'll make something out of my life. then watch someone download off of term papers.com, hand in a paper late and they get an A. you bust your ass and get a b with no comment, or no marks. Want to watch some dudes that are high exchange answers to a test about bugs, while the teacher watches. It gets worse. then after this you get get exposed to "radical ideology" by overpaid professors. hope it doesn't get political.

i basically repeated my undergraduate education elsewhere, and eventually completed a grad degree in comp sci. The gap in the education was enormous. this is how i know about umass. if your advisor tells you not too take difficult classes while you get adjusted to the fish bowl smoke in your dorm tell her or him you want to create your own major in comparative colleges. eventually you'll find out that there were no difficult classes, only a critical mass of bad educators.

In Closing...
You can't learn anything from this school that you couldn't learn at a 2-4 year community college. Watch out for the drugs and the cops, and the perverts, the religious recruiters and the professors. Go minuteman.
