City makes up for missing campus

Rating: 5/5 (89 ratings)
Introduction
First of all most of the people who attend UNO are from Nebraska and Iowa and a good percent of those are from Omaha. So if your an outsider, good luck. People looking for a traditional college experience will find UNO to be a bit different. UNO ONLY offers apartment style dorms and it is mostly a commuter campus.

Campus Life and Social Life
The sports teams and greeks on campus throw a lot of parties. Everything is off campus though because no one really lives on campus. So you have to be prepared to do a lot of driving. Being in the city is awesome though because there is an amazing downtown! It's Omaha that really makes UNO great. Going to Hockey games are the BEST! The Mavs are Division I hockey so it's really competitive!

Academics
There are amazing International Studies, Business, and Architecture programs of study at UNO. There are TONS of internships and the professors are helpful. Work load varies from class to class.

Student Body
Not a close campus, everything pretty much takes place off campus. Even the Hockey games which are the BEST sporting event at UNO are downtown. You will always find something to do because its a city with something to offer for everyone.

In Closing...
It's a good school, with something to offer for everyone. Even if you change your mind about UNO and like the Omaha area there are TONS of schools in the area to transfer to including Creighton University. The city is amazing and makes up for the non-traditional campus life.
