UNO = Perfect Balance

Rating: 3/5 (45 ratings)
Introduction
I chose UNO because it was in New Orleans and it has a good reputation.
New Orleans is a beautiful city and the people are unique. I wanted this experience for myself. Also, I am a Political Science major and New Orleanian politics are very interesting to say the least. I think that my experience with their Political Science department will make me a more well-rounded lawyer.

Campus Life and Social Life
Some people like to party a lot but it is a good atmosphere. The scenery is beautiful. The university is situated on the lakefront and I often went to the beach so I could study in the tranquility of nature. There are a number of sports teams and the basketball team is among the best in the country. There are a lot of social gatherings usually at least one every weekend. It is a wonderful experience.

Academics
The Business and Liberal Arts departments are exceptional. Consult the school's literature for more information about your specific area of interest to see if we have what you're looking for.

Student Body
The typical student here is a New Orleanian commuter. Most people that attend the University of New Orleans are native New Orleanians. A lot of the students have full-time jobs while they are going to school. There are a lot of students from Louisiana that attend the University of New Orleans. Most of them were from rural areas of Louisiana. Since the devastation of Hurricane Katrina last fall, I don't know what the makeup of the student body will be because a lot of the native New Orleanians don't have anywhere to live. But the school is offering internet courses, so we'll see.

In Closing...
I like this school a lot. Again, check the website for more information to see if it's right for you.
