University of Incredibly Cold
IntroductionUNI is a great place to go for being a teacher or a business major. It has one of the best education programs in the country. But i would choose this school on the basis on whether or not you like big universities. UNI is a great place to go because it is a small enough campus to be able to walk across is 10 minutes. But big enough as to where you can always meet someone new. On the other hand it is f***ing cold and windy here in the winter. And its incredibly hard to get into classes sometimes. The university is also bad about choosing where to spend their money. There are too many examples to name.
Campus Life and Social LifePartying is pretty good at UNI. We have what is known as "The Hill". It's a strip of bars right on the edge of campus that most students go to hang out at over the weekend. In my opinion the bars suck. But other people like them. House parties are the way to go. Most of them don't care if you are legal or not. Homecoming is a blast here. It's like a mini Mardi Gras. Our sports teams are a lot of fun. We are highly competitive in Football, Men's Basketball, and Wrestling. Our Basketball team is probably going to the NCAA tournament this year. And our football team made it to the national championship this year.

AcademicsThe education department is very good, as well as the business department. I am an electronic media major and its hard to get into classes: it's very demanding. Most liberal arts professors have fairly light workloads. Five page papers and some projects are the norm. I have only had one bad professor in two years here.
Student BodyWell, there's a wide variety of people at our school, like any school. The norm is the casual partier that goes out on weekends. The school as a whole tends to be very active. We have a big wellness center and it's always packed with people. Most students are from Iowa or the Midwest. I dont really like the term "typical student" because: what is typical? I mean theres' so many different types of people, that i dont think we can single out one type as a typical one.
In Closing...UNI has been a fun place to live. The academics are challenging, and the social life is good.
