BEAUTIFUL
IntroductionThis university has a great reputation in the US as most people already know. If you enjoy being educated from enthusiasitic faculty, being surrounded by well rounded students, and also having time to chill on the weekends for some fun... this is the place for you! BUT, don't think that everything will be spoon-fed for you just because this is a private school. You will have to work very hard through your courses to get stellar grades. This is not your average midwest school... this is simply NOTRE DAME.
Campus Life and Social LifeOne special thing about ND is that there is virtually no greek life. However, don't let the 'Catholic' nature of the school bother you too much... residence halls have the feel of fraternity houses. There are parties every weekends both in and out of the campus so you'll never be bored. Drinking is a big thing here, so get ready to be pumped up. Also, EVERYBODY participates in at least one intramural sport. Also there are very diverse club activities occurring pretty much every week which is mainly because Notre Dame is surrounded by a very residential town: South Bend.

AcademicsAcademics here is top notch. You will get profs who actually enjoy teaching and worry about the student's progress. Unlike other schools where you will find grad students teaching classes, that is unheard of here.
You will have to work hard becuase you will be surrounded by very well rounded students who know how to study smart and play hard. However, that does not mean that you will be stuck in the library all week long. With proper time management your workload is extremely manageable.
Student BodyThe typical student at the school will probably be a Catholic, conservative and white. Although the school is currently trying to diversify itself, it is still a predominantly uniform student body. Also, football is LIFE at ND. If you don't know ND football, then you probably are not into college football all that much. The school feels like it is run by its football program. Students ALWAYS pack the stadium, and even go to the trouble of traveling to some of the away games all the way to CALIFORNIA!!! If you don't know/like football all that much... you'll get to love it once you get here... or at least... love the FIGHTING IRISH!
In Closing...Very good school to get your degree from. A well respected school for both academics and sports. Lots of powerful/wealthy alumni visit the campus religiously for our football season (and also recruiting for their businesses). As many say, once you're in ND... you're a domer for LIFE!
