Competitor's World
Rating: 3/5 (100 ratings)
IntroductionNotre Dame is simply put, a competitor's world. If you thrive on competition against your fellow students, then Notre Dame is the place for you. If you can handle the pressure of school with the intake of a ton of alcohol, then there is no better place. Notre Dame is chalk full of students who dream bigger than anyone could ever achieve. If you are big on the drug scene then ND is not the place to go, but if you love to party, if you shutter at the thought of losing a football game and if you want a top quality education with top notch connections, then Notre Dame is where you want to be.
Campus Life and Social LifeThe clubs and intramural sports are infinite. If you are looking to play varsity sports here, you'd better be one of the best in the country because Notre Dame sports are no joke. But whatever it is that you like to do to pass the time, there is something for you.

AcademicsEverything on the Notre Dame campus is top quality. The only things I probably would not come here for are the language programs. Other than that, you will not find another University with so many incredible programs. The Mendoza College of Business is constantly ranked as the best of the best, as well as Notre Dame's engineering program and political sciences. The architecture program and sciences round out the other top quality programs at this university.
Student BodyThe typical student at the University of Notre Dame is a good looking, highly competitive, over-achiever. Although most of the students cannot live up to their dreams, it's only because they dream higher than the sky itself. There is a heavy midwest population at Notre Dame. The average student was an athlete in high school as well as a club president and a top notch performer in class. This campus is not very diverse, though, as the majority of the population is caucasian. There is no doubt that you will be a huge minority if you are not white skinned, with light hair and light eyes. Although, you will not find another school in the world that offers such diverse personalities who all have an amazing sense of self.
In Closing...Notre Dame is truly a unique experience. I cherish every moment on campus. Also, Notre Dame offers a very diverse study abroad program. I am currently in Mexico and having the time of my life. Get ready to drink and party if you choose Notre Dame. While class and homework will dominate your time, there is no doubt that you can at least chill once or twice each weekend to pop open a few brews with your friends. And believe me, you WILL make friends here - it's impossible not to. PS, if you are looking for Greek life, look somewhere else. There are no frats or sororities on this campus.
