Pitt an awesome school that is often overlooked!

Introduction
The main reason that I chose pitt was the fact that it is in the city. Pitt has one of the best urban campuses that i have ever seen. Many people here advocate that the city is our campus, and that is the truth. Not only does Pitt excel in sports, but the academic programs are also outstanding. Pitt is also a great research facility that give students a hands on learning experience.

Campus Life and Social Life
The social life on campus is awesome. There are some students that come here to stick strictly to academics. While there are others who get their work done and still find time to party every weekend. Greek parties are by far the best parties.
Pitt is very diverse in the clubs that it offers its students. The greeks on campus are very prominent and it has become a tradition that to achieve a leadership position on campus you MUST first be greek. As a greek here at Pitt i'm proud to say that we not only have a good time, but we also work hard to make a positive difference on campus.
Weekends are always a good time and there is always something to do, be it a house party or hitting up one of the many bars near campus. Academics
The workload at Pitt can be considerable, but that depends on your major. Being a history major i don't nearly have as much work as my friends who are engineers.
Professors at Pitt are very rare in that they actually care about their students, and many of them (surprise surprise) actually like to teach. They don't just focus on their research or writing. There are of course exceptions to this.

Student Body
The student body here at Pitt is one of the most eclectic groups of people I have ever seen. There are those who prefer Abercrombie and Coach, and others who could care less.
many of the students are from around PA but there are also many out of state students as well

The STEELERS! -most student love them or hate them (and if they do, they are typically Eagles fans)
