Pitt is it

Rating: 2/5 (62 ratings)
Introduction
Be ready for a noisy fast-paced environment. Don't stand too close to the bus lane. Try to take classes with professors you hear good things about. Use the Writing Center for help with papers even if you're a good writer. Get involved on campus!

Campus Life and Social Life
Becoming a greek gives you the best vantage point of social life because you know everyone and everything going on. There are lots of good bars in Oakland and the free bus pass gives you access to other areas for drinking or cultural events, etc.
Academics
The academics are good...no horror stories about getting slapped w/ insane work after high school. I suggest learning your program's academic requirements b/c sometimes the advisors aren't fully competent.

Student Body
Upper middle class, energetic, democratic, from western PA, smart, but makes time to party, workout and have a social life.

In Closing...
Take a tour and make sure you enjoy the "bustle" an urban campus provides. The school is rich in history and the degree keeps getting more and more respected as entry standards are raised and research and other accomplishments are continually made by staff and students.
