The Truth About USC
IntroductionIf you don't like big cities, DON'T come to USC! If you don't like frat boys/sorority girls, DON'T come to USC! If you are scared of bums, DON'T come to USC! That being said, USC is a great school! Most, if not ALL of my professors are very kind and truly care about you as a student-regardless of the fact that you are in a class of 300 people. Live in a dorm freshman year-its the BEST way to meet people! Go downtown, but be aware, the cops are out and they WILL give you a ticket(s)! USC is filled with people from all walks of life! That's probably my favorite thing about the whole school! If you aren't sure who you are, freshman year can be a very scary journey! But you will find you eventually! USC was not my first choice, it was my third, actually, and although I hate that there isn't enough parking, and the train systems will stop you up to 4 times on your way to class, I LOVE THIS SCHOOL!!! GO GAMECOCKS!!!
Campus Life and Social LifeBe aware that fraternities and sororities can suck you in...it can be a good way to meet people; on the other hand, they can be extremely rude to people not in their social group...if you do it, choose the one that's best for you and have fun! Also, weekends are pretty boring when there are no football games, but downtown is fun as long as you are careful.

AcademicsWorkload isn't extremely hard. Most deans don't allow you to have an extremely hard workload. Also, Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management is the easiest major; we have a great business school but it's hard to get into; and lastly, our Law School is AMAZING-but hard!!!
Student BodyYou would think a lot of students would be from South Carolina, but we have a huge amount of students from other countries. We have even more popped collars than we do scholarship students!! But don't worry, that's not contagious!
In Closing...GO GAMECOCKS!!!
