It's not so bad

Rating: 4/5 (72 ratings)
Introduction
I didn't choose UT honestly. I was planning on atteding a private school in NC but then decided I didn't want to travel so far away because I was going to be doing Air Force ROTC through college and would be an officer when I graduated which would make me travel alot. There is no reason for you to stay away from UT unless you are very lazy and cant walk up a couple of hills.

Campus Life and Social Life
Everything you could ask for almost. There is always a party somewhere but I have seen too many freshmen come in and ruin everything because they party too much. Keep party time in check and you'll be fine. Just don't get carried away.
Academics
I am on the Agriculture campus mostly. It is great because you don't have to worry about parking and you usually don't get tickets there. The classes are smaller and the teachers are nicer if you are interested in an Ag career. The classes I have taken on the main campus are usually very large and not much attention is given to indivdual students.

Student Body
Students are mostly from everywhere, alot of TN peeps but I work with several international students through ITC's START program.

In Closing...
Come prepared to work and to goof off on the weekends. The scores I give are according to the Ag campus.
