UT is the best!

Introduction
I chose UT because I wanted to stay in Texas and because I wanted to go to the best school in Texas, which is clearly UT. I love it here because UT is so big so there's so many different kinds of people here, so I think anyone can fit in. Austin is a great, fun, and gorgeous city so you will love life outside of campus. UT is also great because even though its big, there are like 900 student organizations, where you can get to know people and where it feels like the university isn't as big as it is. The type of student that should stay away from UT would be someone who doesn't like big classes. If you think you will need one-on-one kind of attention, but dont wanna go to office hours, or think that large classes are intimidating..you should go somewhere else.

Campus Life and Social Life
Partying is top notch, there's always a ton of things going on at once. You have to figure out which party you wanna go to, not if there's anything to go to. Of course UT Sports is the BEST in the nation, by best I mean #1 Football, which is so much fun to support. Our basketball and baseball teams are awesome too, well, every sport is great at UT! As far as nightlife, your choices are endless, 6th street is awesome! It's a street that has tons of clubs and bars, and many student organizations have parties there so you will always find somewhere you can get in..even if you arent 21 yet. It is kinda hard to focus on not partying here because there's soo many fun things to do, but you have got to find that balance. Advertisement
Academics
UT's academics are great overall. Every school and department is top notch. Of course some departments are more top notch and recognized than others, but its great overall. So no matter what you major in, you're in great shape. The workload is very heavy for architecture and natural science and business majors. But, its not impossible.

Student Body
Most students are from Texas (Dallas, Houston, San Antonio mainly). Most students are pretty liberal, but because UT is so big, there really isnt a typical student. Every type of person goes to UT.

GO TO UT, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!
