Introduction
If you are the type of student that wants the big college experience, complete with football games, school pride, raging parties, the frat scene and thousands of people to meet...Pacific is definitely not for you. UOP is geared more towards pre-professional students, such as Pre-Dentistry and Pre-Pharmacy who already have an idea of where they want to go in life.

Campus Life and Social Life
Definitely a small school but filled with very nice people. The campus is split into two. There are the smart, ambitious and passionate students who work their asses off in order to graduate; and then, there are the complete idiots who miraculously got into college to just waste time. There is a definite gap between the students here but everybody gets along fine. The frats pretty much dominate the social scene although there are only four on campus. You have to find something to do on campus since surrounding Stockton offers nothing.

Academics
Pacific is renowned for its accelerated programs in pharmacy, business and dentistry where students come to finish their degrees in a shortened amount of time. The professors are excellent and truly do care about your education and will help you through any problems you may have. One problem that I have is that sometimes it feels TOO personal. As in, you're back at high school again where all the teachers know your name and they care way too much sometimes. To the point where it just gets irratating that you can't even skip an occasional class here or there.

Student Body
Most kids are from California and Hawaii since Pacific is one of the schools closest to the Pacific border. There is a definite gap in the student body when it comes to style. Many of the students are just there to waste four years until they actually have to find a job and although they may be good for a laugh, it gets very irratating to know that these people are considered your peers. About 30% Asian and 60% White, the school leaves little room for diversity although there are many students coming over from abroad.

In Closing...
Definitely a good school if you're looking for a small school experience, but if you're looking for a real college experiece, somewhere where you are required to have some more independence, Pacific is not for you.
