School uniform is a polo

Rating: 2/5 (48 ratings)
Introduction
Streaking in the lawn is one of the many traditions. Actually its pretty cool. You're supposed to do it before your fourth year. I haven't done it yet, but we will see how that goes. We all dress up for football games, not everybody but a lot of people dress up for football games. We do a fourth year fifth. The last home game if you’re a fourth year you drink supposedly a fifth. I don't know if many people accomplish that but we try. I mean you see everything. You see people with body paint, sports bras, blue and orange everywhere.

Campus Life and Social Life
Mostly everywhere you go on campus is really gorgeous. The first time I saw the grounds I was really amazed, I really like the whole columns and brick. I think it looks gorgeous. The corner- you've got tons of good bars to go to. It’s got everything you need pretty much and overall a pretty good town.

Academics
UVA is very competitive school. I feel like it’s an intense atmosphere, people work hard play hard type thing.

Student Body
UVA could be stereotyped as preppy. You hear it a lot that our school uniform is a polo. It some people but everybody wears pretty much what they want. You see a lot of polos, you see a lot of rainbows, but really it's a lot of everything

In Closing...
We say first year instead of freshman, we say grounds instead of campus. Just one of those things that caught on early on and just stayed. You've got the corner and grounds and everything very close together so if you don't want to eat dining hall food you can come on to the corner and grab good food. The food at dining hall, I'm not going to lie, isn't great. We are getting a new dining hall, a huge new dining hall, and so hopefully things will be better there. The PAV is ok, its got like Chic-Fil-A and other restaurants like that, but the good food is right around the corner I think.
