UDUB: More than just grunge and Starbucks
IntroductionI think the campus is beautiful. I want to live in Seattle for the rest of my life. It’s is the most beautiful place in the world. A lot of people here are from Washington. A place close to my house has a lot of girls from California. I really like the rain, most people don’t. There’s no way in hell raining would make us not go out.
Campus Life and Social LifeI think 4,000 people are involved in the Greek system and we have 40,000 student total. So that’s like 10%. I think that those who live in it, it impacts your entire life. I wouldn’t have the friends I have if I didn’t live here. Nothing would be the same. A lot of the girls who aren’t in the Greek system come to parties. Boys can’t though, I feel really bad for them. Girls can go to any party they want.

AcademicsI would say 90% of the classes I’ve taken are taught by a professor and then we will meet with a TA during section times. Like once a week for an hour the TA will run it. You can reach teachers by email you can call them if you want. First year most of the classes are like 500, now they are 100,200. It feels really small now.
Student BodyI don’t think that just any student wouldn’t be happy at UDUB, unless you are not very smart. There’s a certain smart level you have to be to get by and do your homework. There are super smart people and they aren’t very social and they live in the dorms. I think you definitely have to work really hard. I know people that got in just for sports reasons and are having to leave. I know a lot of people that snowboard and ski. I don’t know about hiking so much, with all the rain. There’s a girl in our house that rides her bike to class every day.
