Introduction
From what I experience most people are form the mid-west. Mostly instate Wisconsin residents and most foreign students are actually international students I find on this campus

Being in a science major you’re freshman, sophomore year you’re stuck with maybe at least 300 hundred students in your classes where you’re in more of seminar classes – it whittles down to about 25, 30 students.

Teaching for the most part is the last thing on their minds – I find that research dictates a lot on this campus and most profs don’t care so much to know you by your first name. You have to make that extra effort to go to office hours to really have any sort of like interactions with the prof.

Campus Life and Social Life

Well, I think the premed reputation is based on research more so than actual practice – I just find that research is so heavily emphasized on this campus and that’s what draws – we have a lot of funding for a lot of the programs here.

Academics
Football season here, Saturdays – craziness, a lot of tailgating before the game however this is going to change in the future because I think they just changes the tickets policy where you actually have to line up at Camp Randall that day and so that’s gonna hopefully, I don’t know, administrative eyes, decrease the amount of drinking before hand.

Student Body
You don’t see a lot of fat people – that’s so terrible to say but no – its such a huge campus you have to get around mostly by foot because our transportation system isn’t the greatest – but you know its nice just to relax and get to class on foot.

In Closing...
I definitely think our weekends starts on the Thursday night. A lot of people I know don’t schedule Friday classes just because they want to go out Thursday, Friday, Saturday – honestly myself I wouldn’t know because I’m sequestered into a library most days.
