This school is the shit

Rating: 5/5 (57 ratings)
Introduction
This is a big school. Most kids are coming from public high schools and are used to being lost in a crowd. Academically, to be noticed, one must overachieve because these kids are smart and there is a lot of competition, and having to compete against so many kids doesn't make it any easier. In terms of the social life, it is fun to have such a big community. It is easier for anyone to find their niche. There is a circle of friends for every type of person.

Campus Life and Social Life
Best:
1. There is a fun place to party every single night of the week
2. The people are there to have fun
3. There are a million different clubs and organizations, that are fun and a great way to meet people
4. The sports are sick
5. Classes are interesting and the people are smart
Worst:
1. The weather
2. The weather
3. The weather
4. You really should go to class if you want to do well.
5. And of course, the weather

Academics
The school is pretty great academically. All of the departments are strong, though of course some are more well known as being great, such as the school of education, journalism school, etc. The lectures are big which prohibits close relationships between students and professors, but it is easy to get to know TAs and they are very helpful. There is a lot of work, but it is still possible to party and complete your work.

Student Body
The students are great. Everyone is there to have a good time. A typical student knows how to work hard, but play harder. The student goes to class usually, doesn't schedule class for friday bc thursday nights are big party nights, probably doesn't do much work on a typically week but crams before finals. Attends all football games and gets wasted for them.

In Closing...
This school is amazing. It is fun, academically challenging, has a welcoming, entertianing student body, and is all around amazing. It has so much to offer. The only downside is the cold winter weather, but fall and spring more than make up for it.
