I love Wake but...

Introduction
If you don't like preppy people, stay away. I love it here and I'm not that preppy, but if you have a problem with rich kids who dress in J. crew head to toe, be wary.

Campus Life and Social Life
Definitely a greek scene, but you can be included without being greek. I'm not in a sorority but I can go to all the frat parties I want to. You get to know a lot of people through partying, but you don't have to party. There are definitely other things to do. Academics
I haven't had a TA or anything less than a real professor. All of my professors have been really open and helpful and usually knew my name. I haven't had a really crappy prof yet. The workload is definitely tough, but not impossible. You can't drink every night and expect to get on the Dean's list though. It is nearly impossible to get a 4.0, but As and A-s aren't unheard of. I think anything in the B range is very very doable.

Student Body
We have students from all over, a surprising amount from up North. We are mostly white and a lot are rich. I do not fall into the rich Northerner category but I still have a lot of friends. I mean, it's just a matter of whether or not you're going to have a chip on your shoulder. Most kids here are really nice and aren't stuck up rich preps.

In Closing...
The campus is amazing, the support for basketball is awesome, the people are generally nice and friendly. I feel amazingly safe on campus and feel I can do whatever extracurriculars I want.
